The Busride

Published by yellowbird at 11:15 am under Uncategorized Edit This

Today is another cold day.   My body is saying that I should move to a warmer climate.   I’m sure everybodys body is saying this today.   As I remember when I was younger, it never bothered me when it started getting cold.   I thot it was refreshing.   I remember going on trips up north where we lived.   We would plan a trip to see the leaves changing.   It was very pretty and something people that lived in our state would look forward to.   I remember going up there with my parents.   Mom and Dad would take pictures of the trees.   When I was older and part of the adult cerebral palsy group we took a busload of people up north to see the changing of the trees.   It was quite beautiful.   I remember holding hands with my boyfriend.   I also remember a mother and son that went.  The son asked his mother if we would ever get married, and she said no because both of us had disabilities.   We left on a saturday and came back on sunday.   We also went to a cave.   We had to sit in this boat and the cave was quite dark.   They were teasing me and my boyfriend as to what we were doing sitting in the back in this dark cave.   About 2 years later my boyfriend and I got married.    The mother of the boy was surprized that the two of us could make a life together.   We have lost track of this man thru the years and I often wonder, when you meet up with people, and remember them, what do they remember?  What impression do you make of people as you travel this life?  I would hope that everyone I meet along the way can see in my eyes and the way I communicate that I am a believer in my God and try to show His love wherever He may lead me.
