Why the Fly?

Published by yellowbird at 1:37 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Today I went out with the help to grill steaks.  There were so many flies.   We also have alot of flies in the house.   I think it’s because the weather is going to change.   I was talking to some lady yesterday and she told me that the weather was going to get cold next week.   I absolutely hate cold weather.   I was thinking today that if the cold weather would kill the flies, it would be worth it.   For some reason the flies congregate around me.   I don’t know why.   A friend of ours says  it’s because I hate them so bad.   They congregate around me for the heck of it.   I believe that God has a reason for everything.   But I cannot see any reason for the fly.   When I was little I remember my grandma taking a dish towel and saying “shoo fly, shoo!”  She would move the dish towel towards the door, and all the flies would go out.   As a child  I loved watching her shoo the flies out the door.  I thot it was pretty funny.   As far as I know there’s nothing you can get to keep the flies out.  One year I bought fly strips.  They hang by the door and flies are supposed to get caught.  It didn’t work.   It caught some, but we  still had alot.   One night we had a young aide working for us.   She decided to take her sweatshirt off.   She was near the fly strip and didn’t pay attention.   Her hair got caught in the strip.   I tried not to laugh, but it was really funny.    She went in the bathroom to wash her hair out.  The next time she came over she said she still had the sticky stuff in her hair.   The fly strip caught the hair but the flies survived.

Just recently I read where if you put water in a ziplock bag and 4 pennies and hang it outside the door, the flys will not come in.   I thot it worked for awhile, but now I’ve decided that nothing works for flies. I noticed that when the wind is blowing briskly that the flies apparently don’t like the wind.  And so they don’t bother me then.  But I really don’t like the wind.  But it does keep  the flies away.

For some reason God made flies and you can only kill so many.   They are such a nuisance.   I’m going to ask God why we have flies when I finaly get to heaven.   I have a whole list of questions that need answered.   One of the most important ones is: why the fly?

Could you find out about snakes too? They are public enemy number one, in my book.
And the reason flies flock to you is simple. They are attracted to sweet things!
